OBCA Business Meeting
Tuesday July 29th, Tulsa, Southern Hills Marriott
Summer Clinic
9:00 Grant Gower with the OSSAA -
There will be redistricting but the ADM's are not in and cannot be done at the clinic as usual. This is the 2nd year so redistricting is what the book says. There probably will be redistricting next year because the results of the court case with the rule (I think 14 about private schools) should be completely done.
4 Team districts - He probably will talk a little about that here. Any needs that need to be done, the board can get a committee to do what needs to be done or Mr. Gower will tell you what he wants.
Ranking committee. This is to keep the game's integrity. Some coaches vote down in the rankings jockeying for a better position in the playoffs.

C. BUSINESS NOT PREVIOUSLY CONSIDERED
Address the membership.
Due to the extenuating circumstances of our president ending his term and the VP who was to take over is no longer in baseball. Due to the fact that the presidential & Vice President duties have changed considerably the board is asking for a 1 time waiver or special resolution to ask the outgoing president to stay on and help train the VP.
We will need a motion?
VOTE
If the vote is to allow Ryan Phillips to remain as president. We will go to the VP
If the vote is no, we will need to take nominations from the floor and proceed.
The recommendation is made to allow the board to pick the VP from the list of Candidates who submitted their name ONLY FOR THIS TIME DUE TO THE SITUATION.
We will need a motion?
VOTE
If it is passed that the board can pick the VP - vote now - (I suggest giving them all paper and they can write the name on the paper. Dan Edwards is still a region rep at this time and will be allowed to vote. There may be some NOSHOWS for region rep. Booth and Pair may not be there. If we have 6 region reps, they will vote and the president will vote to insure a tie breaker.
If the vote is no, then the body will vote between Dan Edwards & Kris Webb.
